ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan says individuals opposed to the electronic voting machine (EVM) system, which he thinks would solve a major problem in Pakistan’s electoral process, are people who profit from corrupt systems.
PM Imran Khan said the PTI government’s three years in power had been “extremely tough” while speaking at an event in Islamabad on Wednesday.
“During that time, I learnt a lot. You will not lose unless you give up. Strive for new heights and never be afraid “the prime minister encouraged
According to the prime minister, one should never compromise one’s vision, but rather work to develop it.
“A captain’s responsibility is to keep an eye on his squad. I’ve watched my cabinet go through difficult moments, and I’ve seen who becomes anxious when that happens “he stated
Imran Khan claimed that in his brief life, he has not learnt as much as he has in his three years as Pakistan’s prime minister.
He said that he informs all federal ministers that the more they work, the higher they will rise.
When asked about the EVM system, the premier claimed that it is being opposed by a “mafia” that do not want to see change or growth. The premier inquired, “What [personal] advantage would employing the EVM bring to us?”
Every election in Pakistan, he claims, gets contentious. He questioned why there is no outcry in Germany and other similar nations about the elections. He also used the US electoral system as an example, claiming that the outcry in elections in the US had subsided as a result of the employment of a decent voting system.
According to the prime minister, whomever loses in Pakistani elections since 1970 claims that the results are manipulated. He stated, “We will overcome this problem [of rigging] with the EVM system.”
He went on to say that the EVM system is simple: an election is held, a button is pressed, and the results are shown. “All of our country’s issues begin when the polls close. There is a tiny group of people who profit from the crooked system. They are our most dangerous adversary “he stated
He stated, alluding to the PTI administration, that “pushing ourselves” in the previous two years is “very important.” “We’ve come here after a very trying period. This year, we must put forth a lot of effort “he stated
