KARACHI, (Web Desk)- Miftah Ismail, former leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), has denied media allegations that he has switched to the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).

Miftah corrected media claims regarding his joining the PPP in a tweet on X (previously known as Twitter).

Miftah denied the claims and stated that he had withdrawn from political activity. “I’m not affiliating with any political party,” he told reporters.

Earlier, media sources speculated about Miftah joining the PPP, implying that talks with the Bilawal Bhutto-led party were approaching completion.

Miftah resigned from his job as PML-N’s Sindh general secretary and other party positions in June, citing dissatisfaction with his dismissal and Ishaq Dar’s subsequent appointment as finance minister in September 2022.
