LAHORE – Lahore residents were blessed with much-needed rain on Saturday, but the respite was short-lived due to lengthy and widespread power outages in areas of the city.
The rain provided relief from the extended heatwave and humid weather, but it also revealed Lesco’s fragile power distribution infrastructure, as its hundreds of feeders failed to produce electricity, creating considerable agony and anguish for the residents in terrible hot weather.
Even though there were no severe gusts or thunderstorms, electricity went out, according to a citizen.
