DUBAI (Reuters): According to local media, long-awaited changes to Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly’s cabinet are imminent, with new finance and foreign ministers scheduled to take office on Wednesday.

The Gaza War on its border, economic difficulties, and ongoing power outages that have irritated Egyptians and forced some enterprises to close are among the difficulties facing the new administration.

According to state television, Ahmed Kouchouk is expected to take over as finance minister. He will likely have the most difficulty in controlling the country’s faltering economy and rapidly increasing debt.
