MURREE — Following the disaster in Murree, Major General Wajid Aziz, the commanding officer of the Murree Division, has stated that rescue and relief operations will continue until the last visitor has been moved to a safe location.
Major General Wajid Aziz, speaking to the media, claimed that the Pakistan army’s relief and rescue mission had begun the previous night, and that military police officers, along with the civil administration, were monitoring traffic.
He stated, “The COAS urged us to fully participate without waiting for instructions.”
He stated that they were attempting to provide relief to all people so that no visitors would be inconvenienced, and that two Pakistan Army camps had been established, with the second camp being established at Sunny Bank, and roughly 60 families being sheltered in the Army School of Logistics.
In the camp put up at Sunny Bank, he added, 50 families were housed.
