Turkey (Reuters) – According to a diplomatic source, Turkey will file a statement of intervention in the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in The Hague on Wednesday in support of South Africa’s genocide complaint against Israel.

The source also stated that the statement will take place around 1330 GMT. Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan had stated earlier this week that Turkey will make the announcement on Wednesday.

“Turkey’s intervention pushes the international community to recognise and address the humanitarian crisis in Gaza,” according to a source.
