ISLAMABAD – Senator Aon Abbas Bappi of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has reiterated his unshakable support for PTI founder Imran Khan and arrested party activists, saying, “I will remain loyal.”

Senator Aon Abbas Bappi, who is under arrest, was led to the Senate chamber and turned over to the Sergeant-at-Arms.

He met with Senate Chairman Yousaf Raza Gilani and conveyed his thanks for giving the production order.

Addressing the Senate, Bappi praised the Chairman’s moral courage, citing his stand on the instances of Ejaz Chaudhry and himself, which he believed “will be remembered in history.”

Bappi described his arrest, saying that on March 6, at 8:30 a.m., a squad of 20 officers invaded his house and workplace while he was sleeping. “They dragged me by my collar, demanded my phone, and even detained my son briefly before releasing him,” he told us. He was transported for two hours while wearing a black cloth over his face before being shown to a court. “I inquired as to my current location. The court informed me that I was in Yazman, Bahawalpur, and that I had been accused of killing five deer,” Bappi said.

He further stated that after being escorted to the police station for a one-day custody, he found it was the same station where Fawad Chaudhry was accused with stealing water taps.

Bappi said his detention was politically motivated owing to his anti-inflation effort in Punjab. “I support Imran Khan and all imprisoned leaders. “I will remain loyal,” he said, regretting that Senator Ejaz Chaudhry was not present.

Bappi later walked out of the Senate to protest the non-implementation of Ejaz Chaudhry’s production directive. Following the session, cops took him off the premises.

The Senate chairman voiced his outrage about noncompliance, as PTI Senator Ejaz Chaudhry was not presented despite his demands. Gilani forwarded the subject to the Privileges Committee.

Gilani has issued production orders for Bappi and Chaudhry, directing officials to ensure their appearance during Saturday’s Senate session.

“Such contempt for legislative authority cannot be tolerated, as it jeopardizes the Senate’s institutional integrity and the larger democratic system.

“I hereby refer the matter of non-implementation of the production orders concerning Senator Ejaz Chaudhry to the Privileges Committee for its consideration and report,” the committee’s chairman remarked.
