Pakistan will not play its scheduled T20 World Cup match against India, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed Wednesday.
The prime minister stated that Pakistan’s stance on the next T20 World Cup was unambiguous. According to him, politics and sport should stay apart, and political factors shouldn’t be allowed on the pitch.
The prime minister went on to say that Pakistan had carefully considered its position before taking it.
Pakistan should actively support Bangladesh, he added.
