New Zealand has four representatives: Rachin Ravindra, Glenn Phillips, Mitchell Santner, and Matt Henry.

Ibrahim Zadran and Azmatullah Omarzai, two of Afghanistan’s best players, have also made the roster.

The selection has aroused debate, notably on the absence of players from prominent teams including as South Africa, Australia, and Pakistan.
