A counter-terrorism force vehicle was targeted by a remote-controlled explosion in Quetta’s Kurrani district.
In the Kurrani neighborhood of Quetta, the provincial capital of Balochistan, a remote-controlled bomb targeted a vehicle belonging to the Counter Terrorism Force, killing one police officer and injuring five others.
The explosion happened close to a police mobile in Quetta’s Brewery district, according to local authorities. After the explosion, rescue crews and other law enforcement agencies were on the site promptly.
The Counter Terrorism Force (CTF) vehicle was attacked on Krani Road, according to Mahmood Khoroti, Station House Officer (SHO) of the Brewery Police Station. One cop was martyred and five others were injured in the explosion, which was brought on by two to three kg of explosives.
The CTF truck was seriously damaged in the blast. At the site, police and other law enforcement personnel gathered evidence and started additional investigations.
According to Bolan Medical Complex (BMC) Medical Superintendent Dr. Sultan Lehri, the corpse of the CTF officer who was slain as well as six other injured people were taken to BMC.
Three cops are in critical condition, he added, while six others are being treated.
While police officers gathered evidence from the scene, rescue personnel promptly took the injured to the hospital. Five police officers were injured in the explosion, and one was slain. Thankfully, they are said to be safe and in stable health.
Mohsin Naqvi, the federal interior minister, honored the police officer who was killed and denounced the incident. He sent his thoughts and deepest condolences to the officer’s family.
In addition, Minister Naqvi prayed for the injured people’s quick recovery and offered his condolences and unwavering support to the wounded and the slain officer.
