According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Pakistani security forces killed nine terrorists in two different intelligence-based operations (IBOs) in the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
The first operation was carried out in the Mohmand District in response to intelligence allegations that militants were present. Seven terrorists were killed as security forces confronted militants at their position during the operation.
Nevertheless, the conflict claimed the lives of two Pakistani soldiers: Sepoy Aftab Ali Shah, 26, from Chitral, and Havildar Muhammad Zahid, 37, from Malakand.
According to the ISPR, the dead troops “rendered the ultimate sacrifice and embraced shahadat” (martyrdom) while doing their duties.
In a different operation, security forces killed two additional terrorists in a confrontation with militants in the Dera Ismail Khan District’s Maddi district.
The militants, who were thought to have been involved in several terrorist acts, had guns and ammo found on them, according to the ISPR.
Sanitization efforts are being carried out continuously to remove any lingering terrorists from the area.
“The security forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe out the menace of terrorism from the country,” the ISPR said, reinforcing the security forces’ resolve to eradicate terrorism.
