The federal government has announced a comprehensive plan to safeguard national trade interests and lessen the economic impact of the United States’ 29% tax on Pakistani goods.
A specialist working group and a high-level steering committee have been established by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to solve the matter diplomatically and economically.
A 12-member steering group headed by Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb would supervise the whole process, including talks with US officials, according to an official announcement.
