After violence halted election on July 25, the PTI won the LA-16 Bagh 3 seat in the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Assembly. The results were deferred for re-polling on four polling stations.
According to unofficial results, Sardar Mir Akbar of the PTI received 23,561 votes, while Sardar Qamaruz Zaman of the PPP received 23,267 votes, a difference of just 294 votes.
PTI earned 396 votes out of 939 polled by government employees today, while PPP received 421.
PTI came out on top with 25 seats, PPP came in second with 11, while PML-N finished in third with six seats in the July 25 elections.
PTI will now hold 26 seats in the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly as a result of its latest victory.
