As the Taliban seizes control of Kabul’s presidential palace, more than 60 countries urge for Afghans and visitors to go safely.
After its forces surged into Kabul, Afghanistan’s capital, and President Ashraf Ghani fled the country, the Taliban declared the war to be finished.
On Monday, the streets of Kabul were peaceful, but the international airport was a picture of turmoil and terror as hundreds of Afghans anxious to flee the country crowded the runway. The US and other Western countries were also hurrying to evacuate ambassadors and people.
A spokesman for the Taliban’s political office claimed the organisation did not want to live in isolation and that the kind and form of the new Afghan government will be revealed shortly.
Mohammad Naeem also urged for international ties to be peaceful.
“Thank God, the conflict in the nation is over,” he remarked.
He went on to say, “We have achieved what we sought, which is the liberation of our nation and the independence of our people.” “We will not allow anybody to use our lands to hurt others, and we will not allow anyone to use our lands to attack anyone.”
The United Nations Security Council will meet later Monday to examine the situation in Afghanistan.
A Award winning Journalist Ahmer Khan shared on twitter account (5) people killed at Kabul airport.
