LAHORE – In yet another disturbing incident that occurred late last night along LDA Avenue, a mother and her daughter were allegedly raped by a rickshaw driver and his accomplice.
According to the First Information Report (FIR), the 35-year-old lady and her 15-year-old daughter came in Lahore from Vehari about 10 p.m. to see a relative. They boarded a rickshaw bound for Cantt, but the driver took them to LDA Avenue in the middle of the night.
When victims yelled for help and a private automobile arrived to enquire about the issue, the driver and his accomplice reportedly raped the mother-daughter duo, abandoned the rickshaw, and left.
According to the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab, police teams are conducting searches in various sections of the city to apprehend the second suspect.
