ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan’s discussions with world leaders on the developing situation in Afghanistan following the Taliban takeover of the country continue, as foreign forces begin to withdraw from the war-torn country.
Belgian Prime Minister Alexander De Croo phoned Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday and discussed the Afghan issue and Pakistan’s participation in the evacuation of foreign people from Kabul.
Since the fall of the Ashraf Ghani government, the Belgian prime minister is the sixth international leader to contact Pakistan’s prime minister to discuss Afghanistan.
Earlier, he had received phone calls from Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, and Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen.
