LONDON – For the second week in a row, a significant number of Afghan demonstrators went to the streets of Central London to oppose the Taliban’s takeover of Afghanistan and to show their dissatisfaction with the international community’s response.

The march was organised by a number of Afghan community organisations and leaders in the United Kingdom. The march began at Marble Arch and proceeded to the BBC Headquarters, 10 Downing Street, and the US Embassy.

The march was attended by a large number of protestors of all ages carrying Afghan flags, demanding “free Afghanistan,” urging the international community to do more to restore peace in Afghanistan and assist Afghans — and condemning regional and international powers for causing the current crisis in Afghanistan.
