(Web Desk) LONDON – After the US pulls out of Afghanistan, Britain’s defence secretary, Ben Wallace, has stated that the US would no longer be regarded a superpower.
“A superpower that isn’t willing to stick at something isn’t probably a superpower either,” Wallace said in an interview. It isn’t a global force; it is simply a major power.”
Ben Wallace also compared his department’s handling of the Afghanistan issue to the Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office, which is in trouble.
Wallace has already openly criticised the US, describing Donald Trump’s 2020 peace agreement with the Taliban as “a folly” that “strategically… poses a lot of difficulties” in mid-August, when the Taliban were beginning to make broad advances in Afghanistan.
