Speaking to the media earlier in the day, US Senator Chris Van Hollen stated that Pakistan’s participation in the present Afghan crisis is critical.
The Democrat senator emphasised the need of communication between Washington, DC and Islamabad.
On September 10, Pakistan asked the international community to recognise the new reality in Afghanistan and work with it to bring peace and security to the area.
Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, speaking to the media in Islamabad with his Spanish counterpart Jose Manuel Albares, stated that isolating Afghanistan will have significant implications.
According to Pakistan’s senior diplomat, the strategy of fear, pressure, and coercion has failed, and we must embrace a new constructive approach toward Afghanistan.
