ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Imran Khan said on Tuesday that the Indian government’s attitude, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is the biggest obstacle to regional peace.
The prime minister stated in a series of tweets on Tuesday that the Kartarpur Corridor — an interfaith corridor that gives India’s Sikh community privileged access to one of their holiest places – is celebrating its second anniversary.
The Kartarpur Corridor, according to Imran Khan, demonstrates my government’s dedication to minority rights and interfaith harmony.
Our pledge comes at a time when the ideological Hindutva Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) administration of India is descending into systematic persecution of Kashmiris, Indian Muslims, and other minorities, according to the prime minister.
On November 9, 2019, Prime Minister Imran Khan officially opened the Kartarpur Corridor, answering a long-standing desire of the Sikh community for unrestricted access to one of their holiest sites in Pakistan.
