LAHORE — On Saturday, the Lahore High Court (LHC) ordered petitions against the Model Town case’s new joint investigation team (JIT) valid.
According to the information, the case will be heard on November 29 by a seven-member panel led by Chief Justice Ameer Bhatti.
For arguments, the larger bench has already issued orders to both parties’ attorneys.
Punjab police went to Model Town on June 17, 2014, to remove the obstacles constructed outside Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Chief Dr Tahirul Qadri’s home and the Minhaj-ul-Quran International (MQI) Secretariat.
The MQI workers fought back, resulting in a horrific battle that left 14 workers dead and scores injured.
