LAHORE, Pakistan – On Sunday, Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar remarked that providing equal access to education and health care is one of the government’s main priorities.

“Allah, The Almighty, has given us an opportunity to help the impoverished sector of society,” Usman Budar remarked. He claimed that the government’s pledges were being kept under Prime Minister Imran Khan’s leadership.

He stated that the Punjab government would provide Rs 400 billion to the Universal Health Care Programme.

He went on to say that the launch of the Naya Pakistan Sehat Card will not only relieve burden on government institutions, but would also help the private health sector thrive.

The CM stated that the Naya Pakistan Sehat Card programme had already been introduced in the divisions of Lahore, DG Khan, and Sahiwal, and that it would be launched in Rawalpindi on January 20, Faisalabad on February 9, and Multan on February 22.

On March 2, the Naya Pakistan Sehat Card initiative will be started in Bahawalpur, Gujranwala on March 22, and Sargodha on March 31.

According to him, the number of beds in the Universal Health Care Program had been increased from 10,000 to 30,000, and the number of public and private hospitals on the panel had been increased from 43 to 150. The Naya Pakistan Sehat Card will be used to treat life-threatening diseases like as cancer he added .


Usman Buzdar said the card would also cater treatment for heart disease, hepatitis, liver disease,TB, AIDS, emergency and fractures.
