ISLAMABAD, Pakistan – Fawad Chaudhry, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, said on Wednesday that the rape cases of Usman Mirza, Jatoi, and GT Road pose a challenge to the country’s judicial system.

In a tweet, Fawad Chaudhry asked why these cases are not being heard on a daily basis and why they are being treated as normal cases.

While urging the prosecution and courts to do their jobs, Fawad stated that it is the government’s responsibility to take such cases to their logical conclusion.

Previously, the victim boy and girl refused to identify the suspect in Usman Mirza’s abuse and blackmailing case.

Meanwhile, death row inmate Shahrukh Jatoi — the main accused in the 2012 Shahzeb Khan murder case — had been receiving lavish treatment at a private hospital in Karachi for more than two years.
