General Qamar Javed Bajwa, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), visited Turbat and spent the entire day with troops.

According to a statement released by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the COAS was briefed on the current security situation, fencing along the Pakistan-Iran border, and measures taken to counter hostile efforts to destabilise the security situation in Balochistan at HQ FC Balochistan (South).

Gen Bajwa was also informed on the Army’s socioeconomic measures in support of the Balochistan administration, as well as ongoing efforts to improve the capabilities of law enforcement agencies (LEAs).

The Army Chief went on to declare that the army will do all possible to assist the province administration in achieving long-term peace and development.

COAS Gen Bajwa afterwards visited Kech and spoke with deployed troops.

“Terrorists will be brought to justice, and the blood of the martyrs will not go to waste,” he stated, giving respect to Shuhada of Sibdan Top’s fortitude and determination.

Balochistan represents Pakistan’s future, and the province’s success and prosperity signifies the country’s advancement, according to the COAS.

“Inimical elements’ disruptive activities will not be permitted to prevail,” Gen Bajwa said, adding that Balochistan’s security, stability, and prosperity must be pursued/ensured at all costs.

COAS was greeted by Corps Commander Lieutenant General Sarfraz Ali upon his arrival.
