LAHORE, Pakistan — Former President and Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari has stated that several government officials are in communication with us.
Shehbaz Sharif, the PML-N President and Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly, invited PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and former President Asif Ali Zardari to lunch. Bilawal Bhutto and Asif Ali Zardari arrived to the opposition leader’s Model Town mansion, where they were greeted by Shehbaz Sharif.
Maryam Nawaz, Hamza Shahbaz, Saad Rafique, and Marriyum Aurangzeb attended the meeting, as did Bilawal Bhutto and Asif Zardari, who were joined by Hassan Murtaza and Rukhsana Bangash.
Delegations from both parties met to address critical problems concerning the integration of the protest long march and anti-government strategy.
During the discussion, Asif Zardari stated that the situation in Pakistan is deteriorating on a daily basis, and that inflation has made life tough for the poor.
People have become tired of the government, according to the PPP co-chairman, and Imran Khan’s government is simply about making false claims.
The former president went on to claim that the administration experimented on individuals but failed everywhere, and that many people in this government are still in contact with us.
Speaking on the occasion, PML-N President Imran Khan claimed that the narrative of corruption and accountability was a malicious plot to erode Pakistan’s foundations.
