NAWABSHAH: Following a battle between two competing factions over a land issue, police authorities apprehended 16 highly armed individuals who were involved in firing in Nawabshah.

In a brutal armed confrontation between two opposing factions in Nawabshah over a piece of land, at least eight people were murdered, including sub-inspector (SI) Abdul Hameed Khoso.

According to Senior Superintendent Police Ameer Saud Magsi, 16 armed individuals have been apprehended, along with a substantial stockpile of firearms recovered from their hands.

It was also obtained footage of the tragic battle in Nawabshah, which showed armed individuals attacking one other.

A group of individuals were spotted claiming ownership of the land and crops from their opponents. The same group informed the invaders that they were unarmed and that they would rather die than leave their own territory. They claimed that they were being murdered under police watch.

Furthermore, today, SSP Nawabshah and other top officials attended the funeral prayer of SI Abdul Hameed Khoso, which was held in Police Lines in Nawabshah.

According to the authorities, members of two opposing tribes — the Zardari and the Bhund – exchanged gunfire. A police crew arrived at the area after receiving information.
