KARACHI: The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) claimed on Monday to have apprehended a suspected target killer linked to the Sunni Tehreek (ST) in Karachi.
The gunman, Fazlur Rehman alias Fazlu, was apprehended in an action in New Karachi, according to CTD in charge Chaudhry Safdar. In the first inquiry, the gunman admitted to killing police officers and other political activists, according to the CTD in charge.
According to Chaudhry Safdar, the apprehended gunman was a member of the ST’s Lines Area Unit Area and was also involved in the 2011 violence.
