On Wednesday, Pervez Khattak, a senior leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan’s Minister of Defense, announced his decision to join Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F).
Liaquat Khattak, Pervez Khattak’s brother and a member of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly (MPA), will publicly announce his joining JUIF on March 10 in Islamabad, according to reports.
It may be remembered that the PML-Ikhtiar N’s Wali won the by-election for the Provincial Assembly seat PK-63 Nowshera in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in February of last year. Liaquat Khattak was accused by the PTI’s local leadership of assisting the PML-N in the by-elections for the aforementioned seat.
