A vehicle ploughed into a canal in Khanpur on Monday, killing seven members of the same family, including five children and two women.
The victim family, from Khanpur’s Gulshan Iqbal neighbourhood, was travelling to Rahim Yar Khan in a car that crashed into the canal at Kot Samaba 86-Pul, according to Rescue 1122.
Rescue 1122 and police crews arrived on the scene after obtaining information. Nasreen Bibi (50), Rabia Bibi (30), Faizan (20), Mubashir (7), and Atif Bibi (50) were discovered dead by rescuers (9). Irfan (15) and Arslan (18) were unaccounted for.
