The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) fined Prime Minister Imran Khan Rs 50,000 on Monday for convening a public meeting in Swat.
The District Monitoring Officer (DMO) Swat issued the sanction on PM Imran Khan. A punishment has been imposed for hosting a public meeting on March 16 in Swat.
The penalties was also levied on Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mahmood Khan, Federal Ministers Shah Mahmood Qureshi and Murad Saeed, and KP provincial ministers Dr Amjad Ali and Muhibullah.
No public office holder may attend electoral districts, according to the Election Commission’s new rule of conduct. The second round of local government elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is set for March 31.
