On Monday, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) halted by-elections in the NA-33 Hangu constituency, which had become vacant following the death of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Provincial Assembly Member Khayal Zaman.
It is important to note that Khayal Zaman died on February 14, and his seat became vacant as a result.
The ECP made the ruling at a time when the President had dissolved the National Assembly at the request of the Prime Minister, resulting in the suspension of by-elections in NA-33 Hangu.
