Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan has reacted to President Dr Arif Alvi’s letter from Speaker of the National Assembly (NA) Asad Qaiser and the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP). The Election Commission has ruled that new elections in the country will be difficult to hold before October 2022, and has requested an extension of four months from the President.
In response to Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan’s letter to the Speaker National Assembly, four names from the parliamentary committee for the nomination of a caretaker Prime Minister were provided to Asad Qaiser. Asad Umar, Pervez Khattak, Shafqat Mahmood, and Shireen Mazari are among those on the list.
