Governor of Gilgit Baltistan Raja Jalal Hussain Maqpoon has chosen to retire, following in the footsteps of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Shah Farman.

According to reports, the governor of Gilgit-Baltistan would retire as soon as the new prime minister is elected.

On September 30, 2018, Governor Gilgit-Baltistan Raja Jalal Hussain Maqpoon took the oath of office.

The Governor of Gilgit-Baltistan, Raja Jalal Hussain Maqpoon, has been appointed for a three-year and six-month term.

It’s worth noting that he was a key figure in the creation of the government.
