On Monday, the Prime Minister’s Secretariat received a letter from the Governor of Punjab, dated April 23, 2022, citing constitutional grounds for not administering the oath of office to the presumably elected Chief Minister of Punjab.

It is worth noting that in his letter to President Arif Alvi, Governor Punjab Omar Sarfraz Cheema highlighted the constitutional reasons for not accepting the oath from Hamza Shehbaz.
