Former interior minister and Awami Muslim League (AML) president Sheikh Rashid Ahmed has stated that PTI chairman Imran Khan is going through a difficult period and that he will stick by him even if he is assassinated since it would be a betrayal to forsake him in such a difficult situation.
Speaking to the media in Islamabad on Saturday, he stated that he had spoken with Imran Khan and that he [PTI chairman] would not do anything injurious to the country.
The AML commander went on to explain that they have no beef with any of the country’s institutions, but the way the PTI chairman was pushed to the wall was incorrect, and that everyone in Pakistan is aware that Imran Khan has been treated unfairly. “I’m trying to re-elect him [Imran Khan],” he stated.
