Asif Ali Zardari, the former president and co-chairman of the Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP), said on Wednesday that commitments made to allies will be kept, and that he had always predicted that Imran Khan would fall.

Speaking to workers at MPA Tariq Masood Arain’s dinner in Nawabshah, he claimed that the joy of being in public has vanished.

“I can’t be Bhutto or Benazir, but I can follow in their footsteps,” he remarked, adding that his vision is to serve the people, as he committed to carry on Benazir Bhutto’s mission after she was buried in Garhi Khuda Bakhsh.
