On Thursday, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) slammed the government’s announcement and requested the formation of an independent judicial committee to investigate the threat letter.
Former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry, joined by former state minister and PTI leader Farrukh Habib, said the PTI rejects the government’s proposal to form a subordinate panel and will only recognise one commission that will be subservient to an independent judiciary and have an open hearing.
He added Maryam seemed nervous while speaking at the press conference of Marriyum Aurangzeb, Minister of Information and Broadcasting. “You don’t have to be anxious,” Fawad said, adding that the crime minister and his cabinet should not panic because their panic period will begin after the PTI rally in Mianwali tomorrow.
