As the issue of water scarcity has worsened in several parts of the country, at least 12 people have died and hundreds more are at risk.

Cholistan residents are suffering from a lack of water, and hundreds of animals, including sheep and goats, are dying of dehydration.

Residents in the area claim that the gas produced by the Dera Bugti’s is used all across the country, but that there isn’t a drop of water for the residents of Pir Koh.

They claimed that the people of the mineral-rich country yearn for every drop of water, while the situation in Pir Koh has deteriorated to the point that it is worse than in Tharparkar.

They went on to say that many valuable lives have been lost in recent days, and hundreds more are still afflicted; in the meantime, public officials are waiting for elections, but no one is asking about the plight of these sad individuals.
