The Dutch minister of foreign affairs confirmed on Sunday that three Dutch nationals were killed when their small aircraft crashed in a hilly region of northern Croatia.
According to Croatian aviation investigators, the incident occurred about noon local time on Saturday in a forest near the town of Ogulin, when a Dutch-registered aircraft vanished from radar on a journey from Maribor in Slovenia to Pula on Croatia’s Adriatic coast.
According to chief aviation inspector Danko Petrin, all of the plane’s occupants were killed, and the wreckage was destroyed by fire.
