By defeating Juan Pablo Varillas in straight sets on Sunday, Novak Djokovic advanced to his 17th French Open quarterfinal and his 55th overall in a Grand Slam tournament.
Djokovic defeated his 94th-ranked Peruvian opponent with ease, winning 6-3, 6-2, 6-2 as he pursued a third Roland Garros victory and a record-setting 23rd men’s Grand Slam title.
