The European Union condemned the most recent burning of the Holy Quran in Sweden on Saturday, joining a number of Muslim nations in doing so.
According to the EU’s condemnation issued today, burning the Holy Quran or any other religious book is “offensive, disrespectful, and a clear act of provocation.”
“Manifestations of racism, xenophobia, and related intolerance have no place in Europe,” declared Nabila Massrali, the spokesperson for EU foreign affairs and security policy.
