(AFP) Madrid – At the age of 36, former Arsenal, Barcelona, and Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas announced his retirement from the game on Saturday. He also stated his intention to enter teaching right away.
While playing for Spain, Fabregas won the 2010 World Cup, two European Championships, two Premier League championships with Chelsea, and La Liga championships with Barcelona. Fabregas posted a message on social media stating, “It is with great sadness that the time has come for me to hang up my playing boots.”
He continued, “I won’t ever forget the journey. “I will cherish every moment of my time at Barcelona, Arsenal, Barcelona again, Chelsea, Monaco, and Como.
