Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy celebrated the 500th day of the war on Saturday by saluting the country’s military in a video from a Black Sea island that has become a symbol of Ukraine’s tenacity in the face of Russian invasion.
Speaking from Snake Island, Zelenskyy praised Ukrainian soldiers who battled for the island as well as all other country defenders, stating that regaining control of the island “is a great proof that Ukraine will regain every bit of its territory.”
