An additional district and session judge expressed his displeasure with the PTI chairman’s absences from the Toshakhana case hearings on Wednesday, noting that he had only been before the court once during the seven-month trial.

As the hearing of the reference resumed a week after the court determined that the case brought by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) against the PTI chairman was maintainable, Additional District and Sessions Judge (ADSJ) Humayun Dilawar became enraged.

The PTI chief had challenged the session court’s judgement in the Islamabad High Court (IHC) yesterday, claiming that the ECP did not follow the established protocol in registering the case and requesting that the session court’s order be set aside.
