A Warner Bros. spokeswoman announced that the firm will push back the release of a high-profile “Dune” sequel from November to March because its stars are unable to promote the film while Hollywood actors are on strike.

The ruling is detrimental to theater chains still working to recover from the COVID-19 outbreak, including AMC Entertainment, Cineplex, and Cinemark. On the late 2023 schedule, “Dune” was one of the most eagerly awaited movies.

The release date for “Dune: Part Two” has been changed to March 15, which was originally set aside for the Warner Bros. movie “Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire.” The date of the monster film was changed to April 12.
