The secretary of the Punjab Assembly said on Saturday that vote for the province’s new chief minister will not take place today.
The secretary stated that only the election timetable would be revealed today, and that the speaker has the right to call a session for voting tomorrow or the day after tomorrow.
It is worth noting that, despite the prevailing political instability, Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muahmmad Sarwar has accepted the resignation of Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Umsan Buzdar.
PTI’s nominee for CM is Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi of the PML-Q, while the unified opposition has nominated Hamza Shahbaz.
