General Qamar Javed Bajwa, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), met with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Canadian High Commissioner on Tuesday to address issues of mutual interest.
The discussion, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), focused on bilateral collaboration in a variety of disciplines, with a particular focus on regional connectivity projects and the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India pipeline (TAPI).
The visiting dignitary praised Pakistan’s role and efforts for regional stability, particularly in light of the humanitarian catastrophe in Afghanistan. The minister also promised to improve relations between the two sister nations.
