The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) issued a notice on Sunday, predicting a heat wave across central and upper Sindh from May 11 to May 16.
Daytime temperatures in Karachi, Dadu, Jacobabad, Larkana, Sukkur, Khairpur, Shaheed Benazirabad, and other Sindh districts are expected to reach 46°C to 48°C during this period, according to the Met Office.
The Met Office predicted that daytime temperatures in Sindh’s Hyderabad, Mirpur Khas, Badin, and Umerkot districts would reach 43°C to 45°C. From May 12 to 14, the daytime temperature in Karachi could reach 40°C.
