Paramount said on Thursday that the Oscar contender would both executive produce and appear in “Madison,” a new series written by Taylor Sheridan and based in the “Yellowstone” world.

“Madison,” a modern-day follow-up to “Yellowstone,” has been anticipated since it was revealed that the second part of season five will premiere in November. The series will come to an end with those last episodes, which will not include Kevin Costner, the original lead.

The mothership series, which centers on the Dutton family, who have held a sizable, coveted tract of property in Montana for many years, has set the standard for Paramount streaming. 12.1 million viewers watched the season five premiere episode in 2022.
