RAWALPINDI, – President Arif Alvi paid a visit to the Pakistan Army’s General Headquarters on Wednesday (GHQ).

According to an Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) release, the President was greeted upon arrival by Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa.

Guard of Honour was given to the President. He placed a flower wreath at the Martyrs Monument and bid fateha.

Dr. Alvi and the COAS met to discuss regional developments and national security issues.

The President was briefed on the Pakistan Army’s operational readiness, and the Communication and Information Technology Branch provided a briefing on cyber security.

Dr. Arif Alvi thanked the military services’ unprecedented efforts and sacrifices to Pakistan’s external and internal security.

He also praised the Army’s expertise in information technology and coordination procedures with other services and stakeholders.
